What’s included in the rental?

How does check-in/out work?

You can access the property from 4:00 PM on your arrival date using a code or key provided in your welcome instructions. A personal check-in with our manager will take place the next morning. Check-out is by 10:00 AM on your departure day and will also be conducted in person.

Our personal check-in ensures you feel welcomed and fully informed about your rental home. During this appointment, we walk you through key features, read the electric meter, answer your questions, and make sure you’re set for a comfortable stay.
At check-out, a personal visit allows us to quickly and fairly verify the home’s condition, ensuring your security deposit is processed without delays.
We kindly ask you not to miss either appointment, as rescheduling may cause delays and could result in additional fees.

Absolutely! Upon arrival, you’ll find a Welcome Letter and an Information Folder in your home with recommendations, maps, and insider tips on local attractions, beaches, restaurants, and more. You can also explore our website for additional area guides and suggestions to help you make the most of your stay.

Southwest Florida offers a variety of activities—from boating, fishing, and kayaking to white sandy beaches, golf courses, nature parks, and nearby day trips to Sanibel and Captiva Islands, Naples, or the Everglades.

Are there homes suitable for children? Is there anything for kids to play with?

Yes! Many of our homes are family-friendly and include child safety features, high chairs, cribs, or toys and games. Let us know what you need when booking, and we’ll help find the perfect home for your family.

Pets are only allowed in designated pet-friendly homes. Please check the property listing or contact us directly to confirm. A one-time pet fee of $100 applies. Unauthorized pets may result in immediate contract termination and additional charges.

Service Animals: We comply with applicable laws regarding service animals. We may request documentation for verification purposes and kindly ask guests to consider booking a pet-friendly home for the comfort of all parties.

Yes, all homes include free Wi-Fi. Connectivity depends on the service provider; we cannot guarantee speed or uptime.

The outdoor fireplace doesn’t work. What now?

Open fireplaces are weather-dependent and may not work if humidity is high. From May to October, they are typically unusable.

Florida’s weather can sometimes be unpredictable, especially during hurricane season. StayWise Rentals, the property owner, and property management are not responsible for weather conditions, natural events, or acts of God during your stay, and no refunds will be issued for these events.
If a hurricane or severe weather warning is issued, we recommend:
Following local emergency instructions and evacuation orders if given.
Staying informed through trusted news and weather channels.
Considering travel insurance before your trip to cover unforeseen weather-related cancellations or interruptions.
Your safety is our top priority, and we’ll do our best to keep you informed about any potential weather concerns before and during your stay.

What happens if unforeseen conditions occur?

If unexpected issues with the home arise before your stay—such as maintenance emergencies, utility outages, or other conditions that make the property unfit for occupancy—we reserve the right to either:
Relocate you to a comparable home with similar location, size, and amenities, or
Issue a refund in accordance with our cancellation policy.
We will always make every reasonable effort to ensure your stay is not disrupted and that you are accommodated in a way that meets or exceeds your expectations

Can I adjust the pool equipment myself?

No. Please do not adjust any pool equipment unless specifically instructed by our team. Incorrect handling may cause damage and result in repair costs being charged to you.

How long does it take to heat the pool?

Pool heaters generally take 2–3 days to warm the water and may not be effective if outdoor temperatures are below 55°F.

What water level should the pool have?

The water level must be 2–3 inches above the skimmer to prevent pump damage. If you notice the level is too low, please inform us immediately.
We kindly ask the guests to refill the water level of the pool with the provided garden hose, put on the timer.

Do the homes have pool alarms?

Many of our homes feature pool alarms for safety. Please do not disable or tamper with them.

Can I set the air conditioning lower than 75°F?

No, please do not set the A/C below 75°F unless explicitly instructed by our team. Doing so can cause the system to freeze and stop working.
Please left all doors and windows closed during summer time to prevent AC from freezing.
Never turn off the AC!
Repair fees will passed to renters if they are responsible for damages.

What happens if I damage the air conditioning?

If the A/C unit is damaged due to incorrect settings or misuse, a $300 (or higher) repair fee will apply.

Why can’t I lower the A/C more?

Air conditioning systems in Florida are not designed to operate below 75°F for extended periods. Setting them lower can cause the coils to freeze, leading to costly repairs and discomfort during your stay.

Can I bring extra guests after booking?

Can I use the fire features?

Yes, if the house has fire features you can use them after you signed at your personal check in and got the explanations how they work.
Guests must use outdoor fire features responsibly:
You acknowledge you’ve been informed on proper use
Supervise children and those unfamiliar with usage
Use at your own risk
You release StayWise Rentals, the owner, and management of liability for misuse, accidents, or injury
